Why we lead with the numbers
Herb seed is sold on a photograph of a full pot. The germination rate, the packing date and the sowing window decide the result, and seed sown out of season bolts before it is worth cutting.
The fix is unglamorous: put germination rate, packet weight and sowing season on every product page, and say out loud what a herb seed packet can and cannot do. That is what this shop is.

During the 1 business day handling window every order is opened and checked against the order, and packets travel in a rigid envelope so they are not crushed, and nothing damp shares the parcel.
Honest about what is normal
We say up front that slow or patchy germination when soil is cold, and natural variation between packets of an open-pollinated herb — so a normal first day is not mistaken for a defect.
What we will not claim
No six-month or manufacturer warranty of our own, and no promise a herb seed packet does something it cannot. Unless a product page lists it in the box, we do not supply a grow light and a windowsill tray large enough for your space, and we say so before you pay.
Our story
The shop grew out of selling plants and seed in Jaipur. The same two disappointed buyers kept appearing: the one who bought on a photograph and got a size or capacity that did not suit, and the one who assumed something was included that never is.
Selling online removed the chance to put the thing in someone hands and let them judge it. So the specification had to carry that weight instead, and the packing had to carry the goods: packets travel in a rigid envelope so they are not crushed, and nothing damp shares the parcel.
How we work, in practical terms
- Online only. Lavora Ledger runs entirely online, with no shop or showroom. Orders are dispatched from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- Shipping. Free at ₹999 and above; flat ₹49 below that. Handling 1 business day, then transit 2 to 8 business days.
- Returns. 7 days from delivery on unused goods in the original packaging, refunded within 7 business days.
- Payment. UPI or Cash on Delivery, in Indian rupees. No cards, no PayPal, no stored payment details.
- On arrival. Check the carton before signing, film the unboxing, and report any damage within 48 hours.
